How to add a proxy in AdsPower on Windows
AdsPower separates browser account environments. Align the browser profile, account region and exit IP to avoid unexpected environment changes during registration or login.
1. Generate a proxy in the MooProxy dashboard
Choose a country such as the US, UK, Japan or Germany. For account workflows, use a sticky session to keep the AdsPower environment on a consistent exit where possible.
Prepare these fields:
- Proxy type: HTTP or SOCKS5
- Proxy host: for example, us.mooproxy.net
- Proxy port: for example, 55688
- Proxy username: from the dashboard
- Proxy password: from the dashboard
2. Create or edit an AdsPower profile
- Open AdsPower for Windows.
- Create a browser profile or edit an existing one.
- Find the Proxy settings section.
- Choose HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5 to match your MooProxy settings.
- Enter the gateway as the host and the proxy port in the port field.
- Enter your MooProxy proxy username and password in the corresponding fields.
- Check the proxy and verify the IP, country and connection status.
- Save the profile and launch the browser.
3. Match profile settings to the proxy location
For a US exit, align the profile's time zone, language and location with the US where appropriate. Inconsistent combinations can trigger additional checks on destination platforms.
4. Allocate proxies across accounts
- Use one browser profile per account.
- Assign one sticky session to each profile.
- Keep a consistent country rather than switching frequently.
- Use separate sessions for separate account environments.
5. If the proxy check fails
- Check the protocol. Do not enter SOCKS5 settings as HTTP.
- Check for extra spaces in credentials.
- Copy all country and session parameters.
- Try another session in the same country to rule out an unavailable peer.
- Check whether your network or security software blocks AdsPower from reaching the proxy port.
