How to add a proxy in BitBrowser
Profile browsers separate account environments. Proxy configuration should keep IP, time zone, language, location and account history consistent, rather than simply changing the IP.
1. Generate a sticky proxy session
For account workflows, avoid assigning a new random IP each time. Choose a country and sticky mode in the dashboard. Save one session for each account environment.
2. Enter the settings in BitBrowser
- Open BitBrowser and create or edit a browser window.
- Find the proxy settings section.
- Choose HTTP or SOCKS5.
- Enter the MooProxy gateway as the host.
- Enter the port from the dashboard.
- Enter the proxy username from the dashboard.
- Enter the full proxy password from the dashboard.
- Test the proxy and verify its IP and country.
3. Environment settings
- For a US proxy, select a relevant US time zone.
- Set the browser language appropriately for the destination country.
- Review geolocation permissions to avoid exposing an unintended local location.
- Configure WebRTC according to the browser's guidance to avoid inconsistent network information.
4. Proxy allocation
Avoid sharing one session among accounts or frequently changing an account's country. Keep one account, one browser profile, one country and one session together.
5. Connection works, but the destination has issues
A successful connection check does not guarantee compatibility with an account platform. Cookies, request frequency, device profile, login history and phone region may also matter. Review consistency and activity before repeatedly changing IPs.
