Compliance when using residential proxies
Residential proxies are not a shield against legal obligations. Use them for lawful business purposes and follow applicable rules.
1. Allowed uses
- Ecommerce account operations that comply with platform terms.
- Ad and landing-page verification.
- Brand protection and trademark monitoring.
- SEO and search-ranking checks.
- Public-data scraping that respects robots policies and copyright.
2. Prohibited uses
- Fraud, credential stuffing, bulk registration and prohibited evasion of controls.
- Unauthorized collection of paid or copyright-protected resources.
- Attacks, DDoS and malware distribution.
- Automation that violates destination terms.
3. Data compliance
Assess local data-protection requirements, including GDPR or CCPA. Data accessed using International IPs remains subject to the same rules when stored.
4. Destination platforms
Many ecommerce and social platforms restrict automation and multiple accounts. Using Residential proxies does not make prohibited conduct compliant. Treat proxies as infrastructure for legitimate workflows.
5. MooProxy requirements
MooProxy's AUP prohibits using Proxy IP for fraud, attacks or promotional abuse. Retain a description of your legitimate use case for compliance enquiries.
